Concentration lectures

Symbols used throughout the lectures:

  • c%w/w - percentage weight/weight
  • c%w/v - percentage weight/volume
  • c%v/v - percentage volume/volume
  • cM - molarity
  • cm - molality
  • m - mass
  • mM - molar mass
  • n - number of moles
  • V - volume
  • d - density

Indexes used help further describe symbols and they should be selfexplanatory, for example msolvent is a mass of solvent, nsubstance is number of moles of substance and so on.

Additional indexes used in dilution lecture and dilution questions are described in the dilution lecture
